Introduction

  Polypropylene or p.p filter is the first-stage filter of the water purifier.

  PP filter is capable of removing:

  Suspended particles

  Sand

  Rust

  Coarse biological contaminants up to 5 microns in diameter

  The useful life of this filter is 2500 gallons of water, after which the filter becomes clogged and the pressure drop increases.

  In home water purifiers with normal consumption, the first-stage filter should be replaced approximately every 3 months.

  Powdered activated carbon filter or UDF is the second-stage filter of the home water purifier.

  The activated carbon in this filter removes unpleasant color, odor, and taste from water and also absorbs heavy metals such as:

  Iron

  Lead

  Mercury

  Arsenic

  The second stage filter of the water purifier should be replaced after passing 2500 gallons of water or every 3 months.

  The activated carbon block filter or CTO is the third stage filter of the home water purifier.
